He is survived by: his children, John D Nichols, Jr. of Otway, Josh D Nichols of Otway, Brian Chandler of Waverly, Sheri Nichols of Otway and Kristi Chandler Shepherd (Terry) of Rarden; his grandchildren, Stacy Murphy, Jordan Nichols, Cody Nichols, Madison Taylor, Tucker Taylor, Zane Gilley, Lane Gilley, TJ Shepherd, Evan Chandler, Elliana Chandler and Emmalee Chandler; his great grandchildren, Landon, Haleigh, Peighton, Harleigh, Jailynn, Bryleigh and Kylie; and his siblings, Charles "Butch" Nichols (Carol) of Otway, Robert "Bob" Nichols (Deborah) of Otway, Peter Nichols (Glenna) of Otway, Fred Nichols (Debbie) of Otway, David Nichols (Cindy) of Otway, Edward "Tom" Nichols (Rilla) of West Union, Audrey Gambill (Lloyd) of Otway, Mary Cook (Grover) of New Albany, Judy Kremin (Bill) of McDermott, Sue King (Daniel) of Wheelersburg, Anita Gillette (Ryan) of Lucasville and Pam Gallion (David) of Otway. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
