She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Newman and Dorothy Mangus Newman; her former spouse Jesse Spires; her husband Howard Davis; her daughter Barbara Kay Bailey; her grandchildren, James Gene Richard, Jr., Jesse Ernest Richard and Eric Bolton; her siblings, Kay Rothwell, Ruth Newman and Cary Newman (Carol); and her daughter-in-law Faye Newman.
She is survived by: her children, Hershel Darrell Newman (Brenda) of Otway, Tenia Gannon (Doug) of Leesburg, Richard Spires (Connie) of Otway, John Spires (Teri) of Otway, Jerry Spires (Tonya) of Otway and Jesse David Spires of Otway; and her siblings, Rose Gardner (Kenny) and Wayne Newman (Wanda). She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.
