He is survived by: his children, Carl Schimmoeller (Mylinda) of Kalida and Connie Looser (Dave) of Ottoville; his grandchildren, Tyler Looser (Erin), Jostin Schimmoeller, Kallie Schimmoeller, Amy Klenz (Chris), Sabrie Bodden, Joey Schimoeller, Mariah Schimmoeller, Jacobie Schimmoeller and Jarrick Schimmoeller; his great grandchildren, Hunter Robert Klenz and Ashley Sue Klenz; his siblings, Paul Kaple of Fremont and Mary Ann Deitering of New Cleveland; and his sister-in-law Miriam Kaple of Atlanta, GA..
