He was predeceased by: his daughter Susan Gasser; his siblings, Ann Knippen (William), Dorothy Osting (Molet), Agnes Knippen (Joe), LaVera Hanf (Ted), Mary Ann Grote (Ed), Regina Boehmer (Leonard), Art Gasser (Mary) and Bill Gasser (Lois); and his brother-in-law Ralph Ostendorf.
He is survived by: his spouse Dorothy Fortman; his children, Janet Altenburger (Bill), Michael Gasser (Janice), Kenneth Gasser (Cindy), Robert "Sonny" Gasser (Janice) and Keith Gasser (Linda); and his sisters, Rita Miller, Leona Bruskotter (Leonard), LaDonna Ostendorf, Alvera Kleman (Gene) and Deloris Schulte (Tony).
