He was predeceased by: his parents, George Hilvers and Lucinda Hilvers (Miller); his son-in-law Richard "Dick" Wagoner; his brothers, Paul Hilvers, Gerald Hilvers and Mark Hilvers; his brother-in-law Richard "Bunny" Bonifas; and his parents-in-law, John and Leona Nartker.
He is survived by: his children, Connie Rhodes (Jim) of Ottoville, Sandy Gasser (Matthew) of Fort Jennings, Brian Hilvers (T'rissa) of Pandora, Jeff Hilvers (Richard Miller III) of Dayton and Terri Wagoner (Kent Downing) of Ottoville; his grandchildren, Derek Sargent (Megan), Aaron Sargent (Elaine), Philip Sargent (Sarah), Kelly Davis (Parker), Jonathan Rhodes, Dustin Hilvers, Dakota Blevins (Nate), Dallas Hilvers (Audrey Lane), Josh Schroeder (Macy Dellow) and Nathan Schroeder; his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Cameron Sargent, Landon Sargent, Cadence, Oliver, Bexley Davis, Mylee and Maverick Dellow; his sister Jane Bonifas of Landeck; and his siblings-in-law, Norma Hilvers of West Virginia, Jane Hilvers of Ottoville, Kathy Hilvers of Ottoville, Gene and Carolyn Nartker of Kalida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
