It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Monica A. Koester-Miller of Ottoville, Ohio, who passed away on January 31, 2024, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Rode and Agnes Rode (Gengler); her former spouse Hilarius "Red" Koester; her husband Donald Miller; her stepdaughter Carla Landin (Miller); her stepdaughter-in-law Roxy Miller (Ekrote); her siblings, Norma Trentman (John) and Jerome Rode; her sister-in-law Pat Rode; and her in-laws, Wilma Miller (Amos), Maggie Schimmoeller (Ernie), Erma Wehri Morman, Eugene Miller, Berta Schimmoeller Cramer, Roger Schimmoeller, Lorn Cramer, Frank Hermiller, Henry Wehri, Norbert Morman, Nub Grothause, Richard Koester (Alvera), Ambrose Koester (Mary Catherine), Celestine Koester (Loretta), Alberta Weber (Cyril) and Lucinda Langhals (Norbert).
She is survived by: her children, Elaine Schimmoeller (Jeff) of Ottoville, Steve Koester (Mary Kay Schimmoeller) of Ottoville, Dave Koester (Mary Osting) of Ottoville, Joe Koester (Tina Rellinger) of Ottoville, Dean Koester (Melanie Halsey) of Ottoville, Chuck Koester (Jodi Landin) of Ottoville, Paul Koester of Ottoville and Dale Koester (Lisa Lewis) of Sunbury; her stepchildren, Lisa Lindeman (Kevin) of Ottoville, Terry Miller (Shirley Rieger), Lee Miller of Ottoville, Ron Miller of Powell, Randy Miller of Ottawa and Keith Miller (Melissa Brenek) of St. Marys; her siblings, Art Rode, Jr. of Landeck, Dorothy Grothause of Delphos, Sister Antonia Rode of Tiffin and Ron Rode (Mary Lou) of Delphos; her siblings-in-law, Richard Miller (Betty) of Ottoville, Betty Hermiller of Columbus Grove, Babe Miller of Ottoville and Rosemary Markward (Elmer); her grandson Cory Schimmoeller; and also Troy Landin of Lima. She is also survived by twenty-five grandchildren; fifty-four great-grandchildren.
