He was predeceased by: his son-in-law Mike Klein; his siblings, Rudy Gasser, Rosemary Kramer, Alma Beckman and Wilma Gasser; and his stepgranddaughter Kayla Hobkins.

He is survived by: his spouse Ruth A. Bendele; and his children, Karen Bidlack (Todd) and Patty Rupert (Tony).
