He was predeceased by: his parents, Orion Byrne and Edwina Byrne (Miller); his granddaughter Lyndsey Byrne; and his siblings, Robert Byrne (Jean), Hubert Byrne and Rita Byrne-Lewandowski.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Byrne (Dianne) of Van Wert, Laurie Boecker (Paul) of Ottoville, Kent Byrne (Mish Workman) of Ottoville and Beth Kroeger (Jason Machunas) of Ottoville; and his sister-in-law Carol Byrne of Ottoville. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; thirty-four great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
A prayer was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home - Jackson Twp (16085 OH-634, Fort Jennings, OH 45844). Visitation was held on Sunday, March 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (189 Church St, Ottoville, OH 45875). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 1:45 PM at the Love-Heitmeyer Funeral Home (16085 OH-634, Fort Jennings, OH 45844).
