He was predeceased by: his father George Kious; his stepfather Bob Allen; and his sister Barbara Jo Sherwood. He is survived by: his spouse Unalee Kortokrax; his son William Kious of Ottoville; his grandsons, Jericho Kious and Vincent Kious; and his sister Linda Lause (Robert) of Delphos.

Memorial donations may be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville.
