He is survived by: his spouse Jean Sands; his children, Robert Cox, Jr. (Connie) of Ottawa, Ronnie Cox (Sherri) of Browns Mills, NJ, Tam Bacon (Colyn) of Raleigh, NC and Chris Hosler (Roger) of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Aaron Cox (Traci), Brianna Kuhlman (Andy), Taylor Kimmel (Jarod), Danielle Ellerbrock (Ross), Brittany Cox, Ronald Cox, Jr., Derek Cox (Darryl Hill), Kaitlyn Bacon, Dustin Cox (Dani), Cory Hosler (Molly Conroy) and Daulton Hosler (Joleen Combs); his brother James Cox (Janet) of Findlay; and his sisters-in-law, Dortha Cox of Ottawa and Mona Cox of Lima.
