He was predeceased by: his parents, Fransico Garcia and Isabel Garcia (Vigil); his wife Minerva Rivera; his daughter Juanita Alivizo; and his siblings, Frank Garcia, Jr., Diego Garcia, Arnolfo Garcia and Elena Quintanilla.

He is survived by: his children, Reyes Garcia, Jr. (Elida) of Leipsic, David Garcia (Maricella) of Texas, Michael Garcia (Sandra) of Leipsic and Elvira M. Perez (Jose) of Ottawa; and his brothers, George Garcia of San Antonio and Antonio Garcia of San Antonio. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 16th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 17th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Love Funeral Home - Ottawa (405 E 3rd St, Ottawa, OH 45875). A prayer was held on Wednesday, October 16th 2024 at 7:45 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the STS Peter and Paul Catholic Church - Ottawa (307 N Locust St, Ottawa, OH 45875).
