He was predeceased by: his parents, Dolores Cosgrove and Joseph Cosgrove; his siblings, Mary Cosgrove and Joe Cosgrove; and his nephew Jordan Hanf.

He is survived by: his siblings, John Cosgrove of Hamilton, James Cosgrove of Hamilton, Kathy Brockman of Wapakoneta and Rose Hanf of Delphos, Ohio.. He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews and 19 great nieces and nephews.
