He was predeceased by: his father Alfred Bensman; his wife JoAnn M. Schreiber; and his brother John Bensman. He is survived by: his children, Chris Stechschulte (Tracy) of Ottawa, Alan Bensman (Anita) of Ottawa, Shelly White (Vinny) of Orange City, FL and David Bensman (Amy) of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Keri Carder (Abbot), Mike Stechschulte (Allison Sickles), Holly Recker (Greg), Andrew Trenkamp, Hailey Potts (Nate Gammon), Jacob Potts, Skyler White, Hunter White, Marissa Schimmoeller (Wade) and Solomon Bensman; his great grandchildren, Joanna, Logan Carder, Benji Barnes and Charlie Schimmoeller; his sisters, Janet Niedecken (Jim) of Ottoville and Laure Swejk (Mike) of Tallmadge; and his sister-in-law Karen Bensman of New Breman.
