With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin E. Lauf Sr. of Ottawa, Ohio, born in Cairo, Ohio, who passed away on June 2, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Theodore Lauf and Florence Lauf (Kuhbander); his siblings, Jay Lauf (Audrey), Urban Lauf, Kenny Lauf and Norma Wueller (Bob); and his sister-in-law Elaine Lauf.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Myers; his children, Michelle Rye (Todd) of Ottawa, Melvin Lauf, Jr. of Newport News, VA and Holly K. Carman of Fostoria; his grandchildren, Zachary Mains, Eileen Archer (Kyle), Jacob Carmen, Tish Muter (Josh) and Kyle Shank; his great grandchildren, Melvin Muter, Jaxton Archer, Holley Archer, Diana Hammer and Aurora Hammer; his siblings, Ray Lauf of Ottawa, Fred Lauf (Denise) of Ottawa, Ruth Unverferth (Alvin) of Glandorf and Robert Lauf of Napoleon; and his sister-in-law Carol Lauf of Ottawa.
