Joseph A. Landwehr Obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph A. Landwehr of Ottawa, Ohio, born in Van Wert, Ohio, who passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Landwehr and Frances Landwehr (Trenkamp); his wife Lillian Hoffman; his siblings, Charles Landwehr, Jr. (Mary), James Landwehr Edward Landwehr, Alfred Landwehr (Janet), Mary Maag (Lawrence) and Anna Marie Landwehr; and his siblings-in-law, William Warnecke, John Martin, Theodore Hoffman (Dolores), Elmer Hoffman and Ruth Koenig.
He is survived by: his daughters, Judy Palte (Michael) of Findlay, Sue Landwehr of Ottawa and Sherri Wilmoth (Shawn) of Columbus; his grandchildren, Tracy Scalfaro (Terry), Brent Palte (Stacy), Matthew Palte (Kristin), Katelyn Gilgenbach (Josh Gillette), Brianna Powell (Josh), Kara Wilmoth and Tyler Wilmoth; his great grandchildren, Zachary Palte, Ecco Palte, Troy Palte, Christian Rostofer, Jayden Palte, Riley Gilgenbach, Tristen Gillette and Austin Gillette; his siblings, Elmer Landwehr (Jane) of Kalida, Paul Landwehr of Defiance, JoAnn Menke (Edward "Herk"), Irene Warnecke of Fort Jennings and Rita Martin of Delphos; and his sisters-in-law, Alice Landwehr of Fort Jennings, Dorothy Hoffman of Delphos and Agnes Ostendorf of Fort Jennings. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends especially friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Love Funeral Home - Ottawa (405 E 3rd St, Ottawa, OH 45875). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the STS Peter and Paul Catholic Church - Ottawa (307 N Locust St, Ottawa, OH 45875).
