He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert Otto and Florence Otto (Schroeder); his wife JoAnn Elizabeth Ellerbrock; his granddaughter Lauren Mae Schneeg; and his siblings-in-law, George Ellerbrock, Linus Gerdeman, Eugene Ellerbrock, Ted Sealts, Janet Otto and Janice Golden.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jane Kosch (Brent) of Glandorf, Kay Bidlack (Mark) of Ottawa, MaryBeth Schneeg (Mike) of Glandorf, Kara Balash (Brian) of Glandorf and Kellie Birkemeier (Scott) of Glandorf; his grandchildren, Jenna Burgei (Ryan), Aric Kosch (Heather), Breana Ashley (Ryan), Megan Kosch (Jacob Clark), Justin Drerup (Megan), Bradley Drerup (Lynn), Kristin Duling (Craig), Brenden Drerup (Jen), Katelyn Markward (Austin), Lindsey Keyser (Jared), Matthew Schneeg, Kristy Schneeg, Evan Balash, Madison Balash, Jason Balash, Dylan Birkemeier, Austin Birkemeier, Zachary Birkemeier, Kaleb Birkemeier, Logan Birkemeier and Carter Birkemeier; his stepgrandsons, Matthew Bidlack and Nathan Bidlack; his siblings, Rose Gerdeman of Ottawa, Robert Otto of Wooster and Marge Ellerbrock of Kalida; and his in-laws, Marilyn Sealts of Columbus Grove, Donald Ellerbrock (Janet) of Columbus Grove, Marilyn Ellerbrock of Columbus Grove, Thomas Ellerbrock (Ruth) of Columbus Grove, Sam Golden of Lima, Dennis Ellerbrock (Karen) of Kalida, Gerald Ellerbrock of Kalida, Christine Horstman (Dennis) of Cloverdale and Michael Ellerbrock (Barb Niese) of Kalida. He is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM at the Love Funeral Home - Ottawa (405 E 3rd St, Ottawa, OH 45875). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the STS Peter and Paul Catholic Church - Ottawa (307 N Locust St, Ottawa, OH 45875).
Memorial donations may be made to Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Ottawa or Bridge Hospice in Findlay.
