Donald R. Heringhaus Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Donald R. Heringhaus of Ottawa, Ohio, born in Lima, Ohio, who passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert V. Heringhaus and Alma Heringhaus (Gulker); his siblings, Thomas Heringhaus, Mary Jane Schmenk, William Heringhaus, Allen Heringhaus and Bernard Heringhaus; and his brothers-in-law, Russ Kersh and Don Schmenk.
He is survived by: his children, Suzanne Strayer (Matthew) of Paulding and Jeff Heringhaus of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Steven Curtis Strayer (Darcie) of Perrysburg and Katelyn Strayer of Columbus; his great grandchild Mara Kay Strayer; his siblings, Jim Heringhaus (Christine) of Ottawa and Ann Elizabeth Heringhaus of Blacklick; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Heringhaus of Lima, Marlene Heringhaus of Toledo, Pam Heringhaus of Port Clinton and Jane Heringhaus of Findlay. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Ottawa AMVETS Post 2013 or the Ottawa Kiwanis Club.
