He was predeceased by: his father Ernest Schroeder; his wife Marlene Konst; his son Jeff Schroeder; and his brothers, Howard Schroeder and William "Bill" Schroeder.
He is survived by: his children, Cynthy Wolke (Kevin) of Ottawa, Lisa Alt (Keith) of Ottawa and Brad Schroeder (Kathy) of Ottawa; his grandchildren, Jason Wolke (Sydney) of Ottawa, Erica Wolke of Ottawa, Courtney Holtzapple (Zachary) of Ottawa, Cody Alt (Rachael) of Ottawa, Carly Alt (Jake Kuhlman) of Ottawa, Zack Schroeder of Ottawa and Haley Schroeder of Ottawa; his great grandchildren, Davis, Rhett Wolke and Ayla Holtzapple; and his siblings, Les Schroeder (Ginny) of Miller City, Nancy Walther of Leipsic and Randy Schroeder (Miriam) of New Cleveland. He is also survived by his family, grandchildren, and great- grandchildren.
