He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Paul and Margaret Maag (Nierman); his wife Frances A. Atencio; and his siblings, Alice Brandon (Eugene), Delores Kiernan, Janette Jacobs (Albert), Paul Maag (Janice) and Oscar Maag.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Maag of Kalida, Theresa Schechter (Mark) of Ottawa, Jennifer Westenbarger (Bill) of McComb, Steven Maag (Barbara) of Deltona, FL, Victoria Maag of Ottawa, Carla Maag of Ottawa and Phillip Maag (Nancy) of Kalida; his grandchildren, Denice Ventura (Steven), Matthew Schechter (April), Brianna Maag, Ryan Westenbarger (Trish), Nathan Westenbarger, Ashley Stedman (Brandon), Kevan Westenbarger (Megan), Austan Westenbarger, Andrew Maag (Chrissy), Trevor Maag (Jenna) and McKayla Maag; his great grandchildren, Jacob Ventura, Lily Ventura, Eleanor Schechter, Jimmy Westenbarger, Maggie Westenbarger, Carolyn Westenbarger, John Westenbarger, LeiAnna Stedman, Brody Stedman, Cassidy Stedman, Callie Stedman, Ella Westenbarger, Savannah Maag, Charlotte Maag, Addison Maag and Mason Maag; his siblings, Clayton Maag of Kalida and Francis Margaret "Ruth" Maag of Dayton, KY; and his sister-in-law Millie Maag of Findlay.
