He was predeceased by: his father Frank Duling-Maag; his stepfather Raymond Maag; his son Keith Duling; and his siblings, Zita Ruhe (Victor), Leander Duling (Dorothy), Angela Duling, Ralph Duling and Elmer Duling.
He is survived by: his children, Peg Studebaker (Virgil) of Troy, MO, Joseph Duling of Bluffton, Pam Zinsmeister (David) of Gurnee, IL, Donald Duling of Leipsic, Gregory Duling (Kathy) of Silver Spring, MD and Christina Walther (Sam) of Leipsic; his grandchildren, Todd Studebaker (Jami), Derrich Funiciello (Justine), Brandy Duling (Craig Oliver), Kevin Zinsmeister, Paul Zinsmeister (Colleen Stoyes), Dustin Duling, Keri Duling, Amber Duling, Logan Duling, Hannah Duling, Allyson Duling, Lorenzo Walther, Tyler Walther and Kash Walther; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Duling. He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
