He was predeceased by: his mother Eleanor Hughes (Gillham); his wife Karla Lee Poplin; and also Richard Waite. He is survived by: his father James Hughes of Lima; his daughter Renee Hughes of Delaware; and his brother Michael Hughes (Nancy) of Florence, Kentucky.
