He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilbert L. Day Sr. and Cora Gordon (Johnson). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Day (Egger); his children, Mandy Evans (Keith), John Day (Joe) and Jenny Thompson (Kenneth); his grandchildren, Justin, Jackson, Chloe Evans, Korbin, Carson, Carter Howard and Zoey Thompson; his brothers, Tom Day and Jerry Rocky; and his pet Peanut. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family, friends, neighbors.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Robinson Funeral Home (32 W Winter St, Delaware, OH 43015).
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Gilbert to the Scioto Township Fire Department in Ostrander, 3737 Ostrander Rd, Ostrander, OH 43061.
