It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Norbert C. Schemmel of Osgood, Ohio, who passed away on October 23, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Norbert C. Schemmel to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schemmel and Anna Schemmel (Henke); his siblings, Larry (Luetta Schemmel), Marietta (Lawrence Holthaus), Rosalie (Dick Luebke), Alma (Bill Rutschilling), Louis Schemmel, Vern Schemmel and Linus Schemmel (Joseph Schemmel); and his parents-in-law, Ralph, Rosemary Albers, Rita Albers, Clem Poeppelman and Cy Albers.
He is survived by: his wife Doris I. Albers; his children, Linda (Ken Thobe), Lavern (Melissa Schemmel), Edward (Lisa Schemmel) and Denise (Roger Rethman); and his parents-in-law, Paul, Mary Albers, Bertie Albers, Celina, Don, Annie Albers, Agnes, Dale Goettemoeller, Barb, John Sherman, Roger, Shirley Albers and Phyllis Poeppelman. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association and the Osgood American Legion.
