He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Friesel and Charlotte Friesel (Haslam); and his brothers, Mark, Edward "Dean" and Paul Friesel.
He is survived by: his siblings, Mary Mick of Wilmington, NC, Lorinda Gilmore (Charles) of Marshallville, Dena Maxwell of Lisbon, Paula Kasserman (Wayne) of Rittman, Joy Becker (Jonathan Gibbs) of Orrville, Peggy Friesel (William) of Rittman, Peter Friesel of Dalton and Missy Hearn-Friesel of Millbersburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
