He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bowers and Edith Bowers (Eshelman); and his brother Cecil R. Bowers. He is survived by: his former wife Ellen Louise Walkerow; his children, Sharon Karhan (Wade) of Wooster, Sheryl Bowers of Wooster and Brian Bowers (Julie) of Uniontown; his grandchildren, Emily Karhan of Columbus, Matthew Karhan of San Diego, CA, Rachel and Brandon Bowers of Uniontown; his great grandchildren, Noah, Lydia McCaman and Benny Karhan; and his stepchildren, Jeff Miller (Nancy) of Canton, Larry Miller (Steve) of Washington, DC, Michael Miller (Halle) of Wooster and Barbara Shilling (John) of Creston. He is also survived by several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
