It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James W. Blackman (Orrville, Ohio), who passed away on March 2, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James W. Blackman to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William S. Blackman and Mildred Blackman; and his brothers-in-law, Randall Nussbaum and R. Andrew Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth A. Blackman; his stepchildren, Craig Gortner (Penny) and Vonda Muench (Scott); his grandchildren, Rebekke Muench (Ryan Stutzman) and Richard Muench (Shannon McWilliams); his great grandchildren, Rylie and Theodore Stutzman; his siblings, Timothy and Pamela Zink (Don); and his siblings-in-law, Harry Hochstetler (Phyllis), Marion Sr. Hochstetler (Carol), Corienne Nussbaum, Norma Shaub (Ted) and Barbara Champer (David). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Orrville Christian and Missionary Alliance (300 S Walnut St, Orrville, OH 44667). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
