He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert J. Shelly and Helen L. Shelly (Shilling); his wife Brenda; his son Andrew; his brothers, Richard "Dick" Zuercher and Donald Shelly; and his nephew Jason Shelly.
He is survived by: his stepson James Shelly (Stephanie) of Orrville; his stepgrandson Jackson; his siblings, Daniel Shelly (Kathy) of Wooster, Dale Shelly (Karen) of Creston, Diane Dyer (Kay) of Doylestown, Donna Clarke (William) of Conway, SC and Debbie Johnson (William) of Marshallville; and his sister-in-law Kay Zuercher. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
