It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anthony John Janz of Orrville, Ohio, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on October 19, 2023, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Ruth Janz (Rohm); his sons, Don Birchfield and John Anthony Janz; and his grandson Charlie Hinkle.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy D. Purkey; his children, Donna Tucker (Charles "Tuck") of Orrville, Ronnie Lee Birchfield (Molly) of Orrville and David Birchfield (Sandy) of Green; his granddaughter Tonya Wade (Dale) of Fredericksburg; and his siblings, Bill Janz (Kathy) of Sterling, Janice Bukczar of Brunswick and Patty Esposito (Frank) of Brunswick.
