He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Blackstone and Jessie Blackstone; and his siblings, John Blackstone, Vince Blackstone, Ray Blackstone, Jessie Freeman, Vi Smith, Della Nolan, Dottie Cohen and Vern McNeal.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Louise Gutridge; his children, Rick Blackstone (Barbara) and Vicki Blair (Charles David); his grandchildren, Jennifer Gogel (Mark), Stephanie Faul (Mike), Hannah Blair and Nathanael Blair (Linnea Albers); and his great grandchildren, Ellie, Sam, Maddie, Gabe, Jocelyn, Gordon and Evelyn.
