John S. Simonson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 8, 2025 we had to say goodbye to John S. Simonson of Oregonia, Ohio. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Simonson and Elsie Thrasher Simonson; and his siblings, Lawrence, Joseph, Dennis, Eddie, Michael, Christopher, Regina and Ruthann.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Beals Brenner Simonson; his children, Melissa Pierce of Hillsboro, Angie Penny (Kelly) of Midland and Jonathan Simonson of Hillsboro, Ohio; his stepsons, Paul Brenner (Elly) of South Bend, Nick Brenner (Lisa) of Morrow and Ben Brenner (Megan) of Loveland, Ohio; and his siblings, David, Raymond and Mary. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Smith Funeral Home (327 N South St, Wilmington, OH 45177). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Columbkille Catholic Church (73 N Mulberry St, Wilmington, OH 45177).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
