He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon "Butch" Lynn Mottmiller and Mariann Carol Mauter (Bartok); and his grandparents, Vernon Edward Mottmiller, Maude Mary Mottmiller (Wolf), Marie Bartok Gallagher (Tokar), Frank Bartok and John Gallagher.
He is survived by: his pet Rudy; his significant other Elizabeth G. Mottmiller; his children, Mia Mottmiller (Jacobai) and Alec Mottmiller; and his sister Kristina Mauter. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
