It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba Mae Slates of Oregon, Ohio, who passed away on July 12, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Lloyd; her husband Allen; her parent Layla; and her son-in-law Armand. She is survived by: her children, Suzette (Mark), Suzanne, Allen Jr. (Wanda) and Kevin (Tamara); her grandchildren, Joshua (Dawn), Matthew (Kim), Jonathan (Pam), Chey (Elisabeth), Allen III (Danielle), Walker (Meagan), Krystal, Austin (Melanie) and Amara (Chance); and her great grandchildren, Ayden, Joey, Hazel, Isaac, Charlotte, Elliot, Karsyn, Aubrey, Gracie and Samuel.
Memorial contributions in Melba's name may be made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation or the National Kidney Foundation.
