It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary E. Matyas (Oregon, Ohio), who passed away on April 14, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Zak and Mary Zak (Zruna); her husband Frank Matyas; her son Edward Matyas; and her siblings, Mildred, Rose, John, Joseph and Steven Zak.

She is survived by: her children, Marty "Mike" Matyas (Marianne Ferrara), Diana Schling (Mike Vogelpohl) and Lynda Klavinger; her grandchildren, Mike Matyas, Lindsay Skees (Taylor), David Hoskinson (Megan), Kristi Brinker (Matt), Kody Kuhlman (Karl), Rashell Klavinger, Levi Klavinger and Ryan Klavinger; her stepgrandchildren, Kelly Moore, Todd Schling and Brian Schling; and her sister Lillian Liberty (Charles). She is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren, 10 step-great-grandchildren.

Due to the Corona virus pandemic, the services for Mary will be private.

The family suggests memorials be directed to the German-American Festival Scholarship Fund, 3624 Seaman Road, Oregon, Ohio 43616 or the Elara Caring Health Hospice, 3425 Executive Parkway, Toledo, Ohio 43606.
