She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrea M. Montelongo and José Maria Quinonez; her siblings, Doroteo M. Quinones, Ricardo M. Quinones, Rodolfo M. Quinones, Tere Garza and Maria Castillo; her children, Ramon Ortega, Jr. and Linda Sanchez; her grandson Michael Vargas; and her son-in-law Jesse Castilleja.
She is survived by: her husband Ramon E. Ortega; her brother José M. Quinones; her children, Richard Ortega (Nancy), Robert Ortega (Jodi), Ofelia Vargas (Miguel), Esperanza Castilleja and Virginia Ortega-Gray (Randy); and her son-in-law Paul Sanchez. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, many great-great-grandchildren.
She will be missed tremendously as she was the foundation and the rock of her family.
