He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel H. Trowbridge and Eva C. Trowbridge (Jeffries). He is survived by: his wife Joyce O. Soards; his children, Tim Trowbridge (Debra) and Pam Bryan (Jeff); his grandchildren, Ashley Hagedorn (Joe), Jeffrey Bryan (Cassandra), Evan Trowbridge and Amy Trowbridge; his great grandchildren, Jack Hagedorn, Emma Bryan, Jacob Bryan, Tucker Hagedorn and Logan Hagedorn; and his siblings, Wayne Trowbridge (Nancy), Norma Wallace (Carroll), Dottie Houk, Sharon Bryd (Joe) and LouAnn Bryant (Arnold). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Athens Missionary Baptist Church.
