In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Joyce Jackeline leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Joyce Jackeline may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Venson Ray and Anna Bell Ray (Franklin); her husband Thornton Frank Downey; and her son Frank Downey. She is survived by: her children, David Downey (Rose), Karen Wright (Lloyd), Sharon Jones (Steve) and Jackie Schumaker (Tom). She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home (440 S Coy Rd, Oregon, OH 43616). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Toledo Humane Society or a local cat shelter of your choice.
