He was predeceased by: his parents, James Katona and Mary Katona (Szegedi); his siblings, Barbara Rasi, Jim, Kathleen Katona, Joann and Bill Wolfe; and his parents-in-law, John, Ann Dandar and Jennafer Dandar.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Dandar; his son Matthew; his daughter-in-law Shawn; his grandchildren, Phillip, Lily, Sophia and Olivia; his sister Marsha Cramer; and his parents-in-law, Michael E. Dandar, Maggi Dandar, Mary, Michael Johnston and Andy Rasi.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Michael's Church or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
