He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Craig Welsh and Betty Jean King (Cooper); his son Kevin Welsh; his grandson Dakota Richey; and his grandmother Nettie Welsh.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl K.; his sons, Scott (Chrisline) and Marc (Carla); and his brothers, Joseph (Tricia), Brian and James Keaton. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
He was also an active volunteer with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
