She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Lutz and Florence Lutz; her husband George "Bud" Shanks; her grandchildren, Steven, Robin and Wendy; and her sisters, Ruth Reihing and Mary Ellen Bodette.
She is survived by: her children, Mike Shanks (Kim), Karen Wojtaluk (Steve), Lori and Tim Shanks (Pam); and her grandchildren, Mickey Shanks (Stephanie), Andy Shanks, Lesley Jaskolski (Taylor), Kelly Ingle (Nick Marinski), Katie Ingle (Dave White), Tracy Sherman (Jason Gay), Josh Sherman (Malisa), Sarah Robinson (Corey), Samantha Sattler (Greg), Kimberly Graham (Brent) and Greg Shanks (Kelly). She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandson.
