He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Koester and Fern Koester (Peppers); and his niece Lorri. He is survived by: his wife Lacynthia Koester; his children, Joshua Koester, Monica Steele (Rick) and Tina Toth (Robert); his grandchildren, Ashton, Tristan, Hayden, Julian and Elizabeth; his siblings, Ronald Koester (Ann) and Carol Thomas; and his nephews, Eric, Kevin and Jason.
