She was predeceased by: her parents, Violet Verstraete and Frank Verstraete; her husband Lawrence Eckenrode; her children, Durk Eckenrode and Vanessa Roach; her stepfather William Byers; and her siblings, Arthur Verstraete, Merlyn Byers, Henry Byers and Anna Byers.
She is survived by: her grandson Scott Lee Eckenrode; her children, Timothy Eckenrode (Christine), Mark Eckenrode (Deborah), Matthew Eckenrode, Michael Eckenrode (Denise Alexander) and Lisa Eckenrode-Tidwell (Brian); her daughter-in-law Wendy Eckenrode; and her brother Milyn Byers (Nancy). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
