He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl and Dorothy Guy, Sr. (Swope); and his wife Edwina. He is survived by: his children, Jeryl L Guy Todd (Michael), Rodney Guy, Bart Guy (Dani) and Colleen K. Guy Gottschalk (Bob); his grandsons, Robert Gottschalk III, Joshua Gottschalk and Matthew Guy; his great grandchildren, Robert Gottschalk, IV and Avery Jean; and his siblings, Richard Guy (Marilyn), Carolyn Kapp (Robert) and Virginia Goulet (Ronald).

The family would like to extend their gratitude towards his caregivers at Genoa Care Facility and Hospice of NW Ohio for their compassionate care throughout his battle with Alzheimer's. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be designated to Alzheimer's Association, Hospice of NW Ohio or Christ United Methodist Church of Oregon.
