With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles L. Nelms Jr. of Oregon, Ohio, who passed away on July 17, 2023 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Sr. Nelms and Irene Nelms (Garvey); his wife Dolores; and his sisters, Audrey Avery and Mary Ellen Ditch.
He is survived by: his children, Charles "Ted" Nelms (Sara), Marcie Nelms, Randy Nelms, Sandra Pierce (Robert) and David Benge (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Jenna LaRocca (Tim), Aaron Benge (Alyssa), Laura Fidlin (Ryan), Nicole Pierce (Tia), Joshua Pierce (Tammy) and Jennifer Nelms (Josh) of Randy. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
