He was predeceased by: his parents, Lew Friend and Virginia Friend; and his brother Richard Friend. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Friend; his stepdaughters, Christina Nolasco and Jennifer Kreps; his grandchildren, Natasha Holt, Brook Nolasco, Damian Kreps and Summer Kreps; his great grandchild Aza Holt; and his siblings, Patricia Everly (Dan), Gertrude Friend (Gigi), Jennifer Downs and Russell Friend (Holly). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Galion High School Music Program, Saint Peter's High School Music Program, or a favorite charity of the donor's choice in Lew's name.
