He is survived by: his stepmother Margaret Alice Bowman Smith; his siblings, Rebecca "Becky" Morris and Michael "Mike" Smith; his close friend Hank Engel (Bobby Brownley) of North Carolina; his brother Scott Smith of Mansfield; his nephew Joey Smith; his uncles, Jack Elliott and Marion Smith; his cousin Richard "Dick" Thomas; his daughters, Lori Lucas (Joe) of Bremen, April Utt (John) of Mansfield and Crystal Mullins of Mansfield; his grandchildren, Jesse Utt (Jade) of Mansfield and LCpl; and his great grandchild Sullivan Utt of Mansfield.
