He was predeceased by: his daughter Darla Jean Caudill; and his siblings, Evelyn, William, Harles, Denvil and Roger.

He is survived by: his wife Carla Kay Clark; his children, Kevin Caudill (Jill) and Daphne Herr; his grandchildren, Jacob Herr, Victoria Herr (Adam Roberts), Ellyse Herr (Alec Sparkman) and Josh Caudill (Ashley Stahl); his great grandchild Aleigha Daye; his siblings, Harold Caudill (Loretta), Elwood Caudill (Toddy), Wayne Caudill (Shirley), Frosty Caudill (Faye) and Carolyn Clark (Charles); and his sisters-in-law, Jenny, Vivian, Bernice and Glenna.
