He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Hollis Black and Barbera Black; his siblings, Sue (Mike Jared), Sam (Melody), John (Diane), Tony and Tom; his wife Kathy Black; his children, Brian Blosser, Daniel Black (Danny), Angie and Doris; his stepson Colonel Brandon Tackett; and his grandchildren, Viola, Marco, Savannah Takett, Aubrey Black, Holli Black, Chelsea Black and Cameron Blosser.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Boston College page in Daniel's memory.
