He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Phillips and Asa Phillips; his great grandchild Mike; and his siblings, Betty Martin, Nancy Forrest and Robert Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Joanne Phillips (Herbst); his children, Leslie Carpenter, Gary Phillips (Sue) and Dean Phillips (Renee); his grandchildren, Michael Cecys (Kelsey), Kady Carpenter (Cody Vild), Rachel Sabo (Ryan), Ryan Carpenter, Justin Phillips, Asa Phillips and Derek Phillips; and his great grandchildren, Finley Phillips, Madison Sabo, Laura, Kevin Radigan and Julie Bendzuck.
