He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Clark and Margaret Lucille Mottinger (Hart); his wife Betty Jean Anderson; his daughter Donna J. Kiracofe; and his sisters, Luella Ann Pangle, Betty Smith and Mary Stoll.
He is survived by: his children, David Lee Mottinger (Jianlan) of Indianapolis, Nancy K. Brown of Van Wert and Richard E. Mottinger (Ruth Pease) of Ohio City; and his grandchildren, Heather Kiracofe, Serena Renner, Sara Mottinger Wood, Brad Mottinger, Justin Brown (Whitney), Justin Mottinger, Kyle Mottinger and Rachael Mottinger. He is also survived by several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
