He is survived by: his wife Earnestine Porter Howard; and his children, Eric Howard (Abigail), Michael Howard (Latonia), Jeffery Howard (Joanne) and Sandra Howard Robinson (Noland). He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
